This excerpt from “42”, running a little over a minute and a quarter and starting eighteen seconds into the clip, was shown during an interview with David Tennant on “Parkinson” and broadcast later the same evening as “The Lazarus Experiment”. The sequence certainly sends a chill down the spine as Martha becomes irrevocably separated from the Doctor! I thought it better than anything seen in the complete episode aired earlier that night!! I’m not biased or anything but “42” is directed by Graeme Harper!!!

Nice clip Tim - thanks for that!
I like the look of the sets - good sci-fi "look" and there's some good tension in there too. Like you I am looking forward to this episode and Graeme Harper has certainly proved himself as an accomplished director. "Army of Ghosts"/"Doomsday" was a brilliant finale to last season.
And I too was slightly underwhelmed by "Lazarus"...more later on that one!
This is my favourite of the three "42" clips, Simon. It's particularly the end I like, the seeming-hopelessness of the predicament in which the Doctor and Martha find themselves. I only hope the rest of the episode is as good and doesn't spoil what is such a simple but beautiful moment!
It's so hard to find good welders these days...!
