I can't believe he's 56!! A fine actor and a very underrated Dr. He may have lost his youthful looks but he's still going strong which is good to see.

My PD claim to fame was standing right next to him in the bar at The Metropole Hotel in 2003 at the 40th Anniversary Dr Who convention!! It felt very surreal to be standing next to one of the Doctors - and he was smoking a fag too! Very non-Gallifreyan.

My other favourite PD performance was him as Stephen Daker in "A Very Peculiar Practice" - a great programme! I wish they'd release the second series on DVD!

I'm in full agreement with you on "A Very Peculiar Practice". It would be nice if its writer, Andrew Davies, went back to writing something original, rather than continually adapting classic novels, as he's obviously superlative at it! Are you aware that the second seven-part series was followed up with a TV movie entitled "A Very Polish Practice"?

Another Davison series I greatly enjoyed was "At Home with the Braithwaites".
